Methods of Production with Tufting
My method allows me to create two different textures
1) Cut Pile
Cut pile is the most commonly used technique, and feels soft and very fluffy. Cutting creates an upright pile, exposing the ends of the fibres.
Cut pile carpets are more delicate and are best suited for living rooms.
2) Loop Pile
Here, one continuous thread is made into many small, closely spaced loops. The loops sit close to the carpet surface.

Loop rugs are more durable and are well suited for children's rooms and boisterous play.
